The Problem

The client raised a few functionalities not working properly:

  • Users could register instantly without approval
  • Users could not modify their software posts
  • Software submissions were published without moderation

The platform was growing, but without a system to manage that growth.

Project Goals

  • Introduce a structured approval process
  • Protect the platform from spam
  • Maintain all existing content and data

In short: evolve the platform without breaking what already worked.

My Approach

Instead of rebuilding from scratch, I took a controlled migration approach.

Strategy First

  • Mapped the full user journey
  • Identified weak points in the registration and submission flow
  • Redesigned the approval logic before touching visuals

Migration

  • Migrated the existing site to preserve content and SEO value
  • Structured a new system without losing what was already built

System Implementation

  • Built a custom Software CPT using JetEngine
  • Created structured submission forms with JetFormBuilder
  • Implemented admin approval for: User registrations, Software publications

The result was a controlled, scalable platform, not just a redesigned website.

The Result

  • Modern layout
  • Controlled user registration
  • Moderated software submissions
  • A scalable content system
  • The client has full control and autonomy over adding podcasts, moderating users, and software ads.
  • Users have full control over their profile and software posts and can edit them.

The platform moved from “open and vulnerable” to “structured and protected.”

This project was developed in collaboration with Webtec. I led the design and user experience as part of the Webtec production team.

Success is not “a website.” Success is what the site unlocks.

Clients will understand what you offer. You’ll stop wasting time explaining.
Your brand will finally feel aligned with your value – and your business will grow.
